is an 8-page monthly newsletter (10 issues/year) for online-auction users. Targeted towards experienced and new users, AuctionBytes.com
is full of practical information for buyers and sellers written in an easy-to-read and entertaining style.
- How-to articles (i.e., chat forum etiquette, displaying your auction item, etc.)
- Reference and research sources
- Tips and tricks
- Your experiences with online auctions
- Profiles of successful online users/auctioners
- Issues affecting online users (i.e., eBay's instituting fee for reserve pricing)
- News about collectibles and online auction sites
Articles should be 100–500 words in length Collector's Corner Collector's Corner appears in every issue. It consists of eight sections: Antiques, Coins/Stamps, Comics, Memorabilia, Porcelain/Pottery, Sports Collectibles, Toys,
Games, Dolls and Potluck. Each section is assigned to a "mini-editor" who writes about topics of interest to collectors in each area. Potluck is a revolving section with a different topic each issue. (There
can be two mini-editors per section IF those people can coordinate their schedules and topics)
Some ideas for coverage for Collector's Corner:
- How-to techniques
- Useful Web sites w/ short descriptions of each
- Associations/clubs with contact info
- Reference books/tools/magazines
- Upcoming shows & conferences
- Interesting facts & figures
Editor is looking for mini-editors that are extremely knowledgeable in their category, who regularly use online auctions and who can meet a monthly deadline 10 months/year. Each mini-editor will get a byline:
name, email address and an auction handle. If desired, a business name & URL could be included at editor's discretion. Each mini-editor will also receive a free subscription to AuctionBytes.com.
