About Us

AuctionBytes.com was conceived in August 1999 by Ina and David Steiner, owners of Steiner Associates, a privately held company in Natick, Massachusetts. Steiner Associates publishes AuctionBytes.com newsletter and  produces corporate training and marketing videotapes.

Steiner Associates began operations in 1988 as a video production company. In 1999, Steiner Associates began exploring the e-commerce opportunities presented by online auctions and in October 1999 introduced AuctionBytes.com ,  the Buyers and Sellers Guide to Online Auctions.

David Steiner, president of Steiner Associates, is a video producer and consultant. David earned a B.S.  from North Adams State College in Massachusetts. Steiner Associates' client list includes GE, Searle Pharmaceuticals, Healthwood, Owens-Corning and numerous broadcast stations and affiliates. David wrote an article of his personal experience with online auctions which was published in the CyberSkeptic's Guide to Internet Research. Ina Steiner, editor and publisher of AuctionBytes.com, is operations manager for BiblioData, a publisher of research newsletters in Needham, Mass. Ina has  been in publishing since 1991. Prior  to that, she was a market research analyst for Leading Edge Computers. Ina earned an MBA with highest honors from Simmons College Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Business Administration from North Adams State College.
