Reading AuctionBytes: SuperBowl Footballs Meet Bioengineering

Footballs to be used in Sunday's SuperBowl XXXV will be tagged with a unique strand of synthetic DNA made by a patented process developed by DNA Technologies. This process ensures the authenticity of the actual balls used in the game. Verification can be done at any time with a specially calibrated laser.
