Mobilia.com, one of the first hobby and collectibles sites on the Internet, is going out of business and is liquidating its stock. Eric H. Kollorin founded Mobilia Magazine in 1993. In 1995, he launched the Mobilia.com Web site as a community site for car lovers and automobilia collectors. An online auction and store was added in February 1999. On April 17, 2000, Mobilia sold its print magazine's active subscriber list and subscription obligation to Krause Publications, which publishes Toy Cars & Vehicles magazine. In September 2000, after getting funding from Genesys Partners, a New York venture capital firm, the company announced it was moving its headquarters into a large facility to allow it to greatly expand its ecommerce services. The Web site at http://www.mobilia.com gives no reason for its recent cessation gives no reason for its recent cessation.
