FairMarket Introduces Discount Shopping Online

FairMarket announced the launch of the Outlet Center service, a specialized shopping area on FairMarket portals. The Outlet Center allows retailers like JC Penney, CompUSA and Dell Computer Corporation to offer their discount, clearance or off-lease goods on some of the Web's most visited sites. AMR Research predicts that the online sale of excess consumer goods will account for 34 percent of the market by 2004. Offering merchandise in falling price, fixed price and auction formats, the Outlet Centers feature a variety of products in categories that include computers, apparel and accessories, jewelry, consumer electronics, travel and home and garden. They reflect FairMarket's focus on providing dynamic pricing e-business infrastructure and e-marketing services to companies and portals doing business on the Web.
