eBay and Microsoft Rub Noses

eBay and Microsoft got lovey-dovey yesterday as they announced an alliance that only the technically savvy could begin to understand. The arrangement will create a .Net-enabled version of the eBay API platform, among other things. .Net (dot net) is Microsoft's vision of "enabling access to all of a user's data and applications anywhere and from any device." An Associated Press report said that Microsoft hopes to make .NET a standard set of Internet tools, much as Windows is a standard PC tool. Analysts and reporters viewed this as a match made in heaven. Public relations heaven, anyway - how many people had heard of Microsoft's .Net initiative before yesterday? http://two.digital.cnet.com/cgi-bin2/flo?y=eBZ20BIEjW0U0asze http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1007-200-5111426.html?tag=lh http://www.microsoft.com/business/vision/netvision.asp
