eBay Offers Banner Ads to Sellers

eBay announced yesterday that it will be consider selling banner ad space to its auction sellers. According to the outline on eBay's announcement page, sellers who "meet certain criteria" will be allowed to purchase banner ads linking directly to the sellers' "Me" page. Within the next few days, eBay will be testing the proposed system by randomly selecting sellers to run banner ads.
