Sci-Fi Movie Props for Sale on eBay
By Ina Steiner

April 17, 2001

XFX Studios is auctioning one-of-a-kind movie props, collectible costumes, and innovative animatronics on Butterfields and eBay. The auction began at http://www.ebay.com/xfx on April 17 and will continue in a series of week-long auctions for a duration of six months. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's Disease.

Meanwhile, U.K. Star Wars Fans Get Carried Away,...

Many apparently believed a bogus email circulating that suggested that the forthcoming U.K. Census would recognize "Jedi" as a religion if enough people put it on the form. Star Wars fanatics across the country hoped that they would be recognized as Jedi Knights. http://two.digital.cnet.com/cgi-bin2/flo?y=eBia0BIEjW0U0bcn0A7
