Mastro to Hold Two-Day Sports Auction in June

On June 7-8, Mastro Fine Sports Auctions will conduct an online/phone auction. Auction items include a 1964 Autographed Beatles Tour Program from their first U.S. tour, as well as the following items:

  • 1922-24 Babe Ruth New York Yankees Contract - HIstoric contract that awards Ruth $52,000 per year, more than three times what the next highest player was paid. Minimum bid $10,000.
  • 1920s Joe Jackson Game Used Bat - Used by Jackson in "town games" across the country after he was banished from professional baseball following the "Black Sox" scandal. The minimum bid is $7,500.
  • 1937 Joe Louis Championship Belt
  • Louis is credited with breaking the first color barrier in sports. This belt marked the beginning of his world championship boxing reign which lasted over 11 years. The starting bid is $5,000.
  • Ted Williams' 517th Home Run Baseball - Williams broke into the 500 Club during the last season of his career. This autographed baseball is one of the last home runs he ever hit. The minimum bid is $2,000.
