Mecum Auction Company will feature a 1969 Pontiac Trans-Am Convertible at its 14th annual Rockford Spring Classic Collector Car Auction. The Trans-Am was a very limited production model in '69 with just over 600 examples built. Only 8 of them were fashioned as convertibles, and only 7 have been accounted for to this day. The event is to be held May 25th through May 27th at the Boone County Fairgrounds located one hour Northwest of Chicago's O'Hare airport. The featured car will be sold on Saturday afternoon the 26th of May. 500 vehicles will cross the auction block during the 3-day event.
