AOL Raises Price of Unlimited Use Plan

America Online, Inc. announced Tuesday that it is hiking the price of its unlimited-use plan by $1.95 to $23.90 a month starting in July. The 9 percent increase marks the first time that AOL has increased the price of its unlimited service package since April 1998. In those 2 years, AOL usage has increased more than 50 percent.
According to AOL, The price increase will fund improvements service, and will help with the integration of local and broadband content. AOL's other pricing plans will not be affected by the change. AOL has 29 million subscribers.
