eBay Announces Grand Opening of eBay Stores

eBay launched the official grand opening of eBay Stores yesterday and is featuring popular store categories and individual sellers on its home page and throughout the site. It also announced a "Spin to Win" game and sweepstakes in which users have a chance to win a $10,000 eBay shopping spree and a trip to Las Vegas as well as other prizes, including eBay gear, magazine subscriptions and restaurant gift certificates. In addition, eBay will introduce eBay Stores to thousands of shoppers around the country at a dozen malls. eBay, which has 20,000 storefronts on its site, now offers buyers the ability to search within a store and browse all items a particular merchant is selling. Also, buyers can search for items and browse among stores across all categories from the eBay Stores Directory at http://www.ebaystores.com. It said will make available additional inventory management tools and enhanced navigation through eBay Stores in the coming months.
