Auction for America Live Chat Event

eBay said hundreds of members attended its first Auction for America Live Chat. It is hosting a second event this week from 17:00 PDT to 18:00 PDT on Thursday, September 20th.

In a related story, eBay has removed their poll asking users if they intend to participate in Auction for America. According to an announcement on the eBay boards, "This week's poll on the Auction for America program has not been used as the poll was intended. Because the program allows users with cookies disabled to post as many times as they wish, many users began skewing the voting on both sides to the point that the poll became too unrealistic to continue."

At the time the poll was removed, 72% of the respondents had voted that they would not be taking part in AFA. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/marketing.shtml
