eBay announced a checkout feature to complete sales and purchases. Checkout will be available for any single item on eBay, including auction-style listings, Buy-It-Now listings, and Store fixed-price listings. Sellers may use Checkout to provide details such as shipping & handling, tax, and insurance. When the listing ends, buyers will know the total price and can use Checkout to provide their shipping address and pay via the seller's accepted payment methods. Check out is compatible with money orders, cashier's checks, personal Checks, COD (cash on delivery), eBay Payments (credit card, electronic check), other credit cards (Visa/Mastercard, Discover and American Express) and "other." Only the options the seller has specified will be displayed to buyers. The checkout feature is free to buyers and sellers, and is optional. eBay will host a live chat session to discuss Checkout today (October 2nd) from 1 pm - 2 pm PDT and will host a workshop session tomorrow at 8 pm -10 pm EST http://pages.ebay.com/checkout/faq.html
