Andale announced that Linda Hayes, former chief marketing officer of Andale, was recently promoted to chief operating officer. Hayes joined Andale in September 2000 as chief marketing officer, and during her tenure revenues increased 500%. Earlier this year, Hayes launched the Commerce Management Service, successfully maintaining customer relations while simultaneously managing a complex product integration and the introduction of a new customer services platform. Previously, Hayes was chief marketing officer and senior vice president of marketing for General Magic, where she launched one of the industry's first unified messaging systems, and later ran the General Magic business unit for myTalk, a voice portal for reading email over the phone. Prior to that, Hayes was vice president of marketing for Pretty Good Privacy, the encryption startup, where
as one of the first employees -- she built the marketing team, launched the product and positioned the company that was acquired by Network Associates. Hayes has also held executive management positions with Novell, Zenith Data Systems and Motorola. Andale also announced it had hired Kevin Wray as vice president of marketing. Wray was previously founder of ThreeSpeed, a marketing consultancy for technology companies, specializing in Internet-based products and services.
