eBay continues to face problems with its Checkout feature. "Clearly we've got to work out some of the bugs," Kevin Pursglove of eBay said. Buyers CAN use the Checkout feature, even when sellers disable the automated Checkout features, causing confusion and frustration on the part of eBay buyers and sellers. In addition, eBay's Checkout feature is overriding third-party checkout systems used by some sellers.

In other news, eBay entered into an agreement with Key3Media Group, an information-technology trade shows and conferences producer that organizes COMDEX and NetWorld+Interop. eBay will have kiosks at trade shows demonstrating how attendees can buy and sell IT-related items on eBay.

Finally, eBay held its annual "Financial Analyst Conference" yesterday during which it outlined its growth strategy through 2005. It said it would rename Half.com, its fixed-price venue, eBay Express Buys. For more details see:
