Butterfields to Chat Jewelry on Collecting Channel

Peter Shemonsky, Director of Fine Jewelry & Timepieces at Butterfields, San Francisco, will participate in a live chat tonight at 8:30 EST in the CollectingChannel.com "Meet the Experts" Chat Room. Prior to joining Butterfields, Shemonsky owned an appraisal and antique jewelry business in Boston and was director of the jewelry and silver department at Grogan & Company, a Boston auction house. He holds a degree in goldsmithing and a graduate degree from the Gemological Institute of America. Shemonsky is a member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians and of the International Society of Appraisers, and is writer and instructor for the Society's course on antique and period jewelry.
