President Bush signed into law H.R. 1552 last Wednesday, extending the moratorium on Internet sales tax. Online spending is estimated to account for over 15 percent of total holiday purchases this year. The President's statement read in part, "This law will be a big help to those Americans who shop from home because they are unable to travel to stores and malls." http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/11/20011129.html
