Reading AuctionBytes: Exite@Home Outage Causes Concern@eBay

eBay announced that members who lose their Internet or email account for any reason should update their contact information as soon as they obtain another email or Internet access account. Many people lost connections due to the Excite@Home fiasco (see yesterday's Newsflash). "If you are in the middle of a transaction with another user and are having trouble contacting them via email, please request their contact information by going here: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MemberSearchShow User contact information will allow you to obtain the user's phone number so that you may call them if necessary."
