Maynard Webb, president of eBay Technologies, said that eBay supported 250 million page views per day, and sent out more than 1.2 giga-bits of data per second, during peak usage during the third quarter. According to Jupiter Media Metrix, Inc., during the week of December 9, 2001, the number of average daily unique visitors to the eBay marketplace reached approximately 4.7 million.
