Digibid Launches Auction Management Division, Gets eBay API Approval
By Ina Steiner AuctionBytes.com January 03, 2002
Digibid, founded in 1998 as auction-based inventory liquidation site for the audio, video and music equipment industries, has launched a software division. The software will be available in February at http://www.auctiondrive.com and will provide merchants with a seamless solution to manage all aspects of the auction process, with or without their own branded auction site.
Developed as an auction management platform for retailers, distributors and manufacturers to conduct auctions of new and excess inventory, Digibid's software offering includes a comprehensive set of features including order fulfillment, inventory and warehouse management and CRM (customer relationship management) as well as pre- and post-auction management and payment processing. Previously owned by Primedia Inc., Digibid reorganized under new ownership and was reborn as a software and services firm based on its proprietary software.
