The Antiques Roadshow will embark on its seventh summer tour across the country, offering the public free appraisals of items they are curious about. Appraisals uncovering the best "finds" from each city will be taped for airings in 2003 on the hit television show. The public is invited to bring two items that will be evaluated at appraisal events in each city by experts from the world's leading auction houses - including Christie's, Doyle Galleries, Skinner and Sotheby's - and by independent appraisers and dealers. 2002 Chubb's Antiques Roadshow stops and dates include Seattle, Washington (June 15); Cleveland, Ohio (June 22); Hot Springs, Arkansas (July 13); Albuquerque, New Mexico (July 20); Kansas City, Missouri (July 27); and Charlotte, North Carolina (August 10).

In related news, Hasbro and Antiques Roadshow producer WGBH Boston are teaming up to offer on eBay a limited number of autographed copies of Hasbro's Antiques Roadshow The Game, signed by host Dan Elias, toy appraiser Noel Barrett and Antiques Roadshow executive producer Peter Cook. Proceeds of the charity will benefit the WGBH Educational Foundation. The charity auction will begin on January 22nd and will run through January 31st. The game is considered part history lesson and part treasure hunt, giving players the opportunity to learn about the unique antiques that have been featured on the show and demonstrate their own expertise in determining appraisals.

The premiere of the new season of the Antiques Roadshow begins on January 21st and airs Mondays at 8 pm on PBS (check local listings). http://www.pbs.org/antiques a series of local events at which top appraisers estimate the value of America's "hidden treasures" and tell the stories behind those treasures, Chubb's Antiques Roadshow, underwritten by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, is a popular television program.
