Yahoo! Auctions Considers Free Listing Day ''Very Successful''

According to a spokesperson for Yahoo! Auctions, the Free Listing Day (FLD) that the Site held on January 24th was a "momentum builder." Although listings
have since decreased about 15% from a high of nearly 630,000, they are still well above the pre-FLD level of approximately 320,000. The spokesperson also told
AuctionBytes that sell-through rate for auctions on their Site stayed consistent with previous levels. Yahoo! will also be intensifying their marketing efforts over the next few months to sustain and grow the number of listings on their auction Site.
In a related story, the winners of the contests for most listings posted and highest sell-through rate during the Free Listing day, will be notified on February 19th.
