Charity Auctions Celebrates NYC Firefighters Who Lost Lives on 9/11/01

More than 70 photographs now on display at the Museum of the City of New York, many of which are featured in the
best-selling book Brotherhood, will be available for sale through an online auction powered by Yahoo Auctions (http://auctions.yahoo.com ).
Brotherhood is a photographic testament to the 343 New York City firefighters who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001 in the rescue efforts following the terrorist attacks.
Brotherhood features photos by 69 highly-acclaimed photographers, including Mary Ellen Mark, Christian Witkin, Martin Parr, and many others. The online auction will run from Feb. 20 through March 6, 2002, with Ogilvy & Mather splitting all proceeds collected equally between two funds that are also sharing profits from the sale of the book: the Twin Towers Fund and the Family Assistance Project of the FDNY. The photos were all taken shortly after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, by leading photographers who donated their time, film and photos to the publication of Brotherhood.
