eWanted, a buyer-focused auction site based in Northern California, has ceased operations. The site was started in 1998 as one of the Internet's first reverse auction sites.
eWanted had acquired London-based Fleetwood Owen last August. Fleetwood Owen is an auction house dedicated solely to bringing rock, pop, film, sports, and literary treasures to public market, and its acquisition was part of eWanted's strategy to increase its focus on the entertainment market. The Fleetwood Owen site, an entertainment memorabilia site that was co-founded by Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood, is still operating at http://www.fleetwoodowen.com .
