Infopia Inc., developer of Marketplace Manager, entered into a strategic alliance with Altura International, a developer of e-commerce shopping solutions. As two of the top providers of e-commerce selling solutions for retailers and catalog merchants, Infopia and Altura plan to take advantage of their combined reach for product exposure.
The Altura Network focuses on fixed-price product offerings on highly-trafficked sites including AOL, Yahoo!, Quixtar, CBSSportsline and Amazon as well as their flagship mall, CatalogCity.com. Infopia's Marketplace Manager network focuses on auctions and similar buying and selling communities including eBay, uBid, Amazon Auctions, Yahoo! Auctions, sell.com and ePier.
"Adding Infopia's network as a distribution channel serves to give Altura's merchants greater exposure and reach," said Lee Lorenzen, president and CEO of Altura International. "This is a significant strategic alliance for both parties and the ultimate winners are the merchants and consumers we serve."
Altura International announced last month that it would bring catalog items to the eBay auction site through its international house brand, CatalogCity.com.
