Sellers of adult material have another venue on which to sell goods. xpix.com is a new site launched by John McDonald, who operates 17 Web sites covering amateur adult entertainment, retail products and cartoon & humor. The sites are geared to mature audiences and are a mix of free and subscription-based. They are targeted at niche markets and, according to McDonald, will lead significant traffic to the xpix site from a diverse demographic base.

McDonald purchased xpix, which was previously an adult celebrity fee-based site, at an eBay auction in September 2001 for $10,000.
