ChannelAdvisor Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise marketplace management solutions, announced the creation of an Advisor Board. The board will be composed of six to eight people, including members that will represent expertise in five key industry areas: travel, retail, consumer electronics, computers and automobiles.
ChannelAdvisor announced its first two appointments yesterday, Barry Friedman, vice president and co-founder of Fog Studios, and Alan Fuerstman, CEO and President of Platinum Hotel Group.
Barry Friedman is known for his work in the video game industry. Friedman has been behind a number of key agreements in the online, multimedia and software industries including the high-profile agreement between Prodigy and ESPN in 1994.
Alan Fuerstman is founder of Platinum Hotel Group, a luxury hotel and resort management company. He is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry who previously served as Vice President of Hotel Operations of Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada; President of Sheraton Hotels-Arizona; and Director of the five-star Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The objective of the Advisor Board is to formalize and intensify Channel Advisor's links and assist the company in planning its strategic business initiatives.
