Continental Airlines and eBay announced a new, co-branded site that allows Continental OnePass members to bid on sporting events, VIP performing arts experiences and Continental Airlines Vacations using frequent flier miles. Continental Airlines is also listing vacation packages and other items on eBay Travel that are available for purchase and open to all eBay bidders.
"We have always been associated with helping individual sellers and companies acquire customers, and this program is a good example of eBay's commitment to help them retain loyal customers, as well," said Doug Galen, vice president, eBay.
Continental OnePass members have the opportunity to bid on unique experiences, such as game tickets and the chance to participate in on-field sports clinic with the Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, New York Yankees, New Jersey Nets or New Jersey Devils.
Members will be required to register and create an OnePass Online Auction profile using their OnePass number and personal identification number (PIN). Members must have miles in the account at the time of transaction, and eBay will send redemption information to the winning bidder.
