NerdHeard Inc. has launched a Web site to provide people with the opportunity to list questions and bid on the opportunity to answer those questions.

NerdHeard.com is an information auction site offering a peer-to-peer information exchange using an auction format. Individuals seeking information can post a question with a timeframe and price they're willing to pay. They receive bids from other members who are qualified to provide the answer. NerdHeard.com takes a small percentage from each sale of information.

"NerdHeard.com takes one of the primary advantages of the Internet - the ability to connect people - one step further," said Crefeld. "The auction environment and monetary exchange provides the motivation to share quality knowledge."

Launched in mid-May 2002, NerdHeard.com is gaining popularity in the technical community and with those using it to answer everyday questions, according to the company.
