Roving reporters from AuctionBytes will attend eBay's convention this weekend in Anaheim, California, to bring readers the latest news about the event. The convention, called eBay Live, is eBay's first expo that brings together eBay staff, third-party vendors, and eBay buyers and sellers. The event will also feature eBay University training classes on buying and selling on the auction site.
Twenty companies will set up booths to give demonstrations of products and services geared to online-auction buyers and sellers. Exhibitors include PayPal, UPS, Andale, Auction Helper and ChannelAdvisor, and many will give away Tshirts and hold raffles. eBay itself will have booths and games in the exhibit hall.
Meg Whitman, President and CEO of eBay, will give a keynote presentation on Saturday morning, and there will be many sessions to explain eBay's features and services like the Feedback Forum and eBay Motors.
AuctionBytes will publish updates from the floor of the show on a special "Update from eBay Live" page sponsored by Zoovy.com. (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/pages/ebaylive) "We're happy to be sponsoring a page where sellers who can't attend eBay Live can go and keep tabs on what's happening," said Scott Haskins, Director of Business Development at Zoovy. Zoovy provides ecommerce solutions to empower businesses to conveniently and cost effectively market their products or services online
AuctionBytes "Update from eBay Live" will give detailed reports on exhibitors, new product announcements and breaking news as it happens. Photographs of industry players, speakers and attendees will give an added dimension to the reports. Over 3,000 attendees are expected.
