eBay Competitor ePier Celebrates Record Number of Auction Listings
By Ina Steiner AuctionBytes.com July 05, 2002
Online auction site ePier will give away $500 in cash and prizes in July. The promotion is to celebrate reaching 500,000 listings. ePier announced in March that it had reached profitability and began an aggressive advertising campaign to increase awareness of its site. The company recently announced it would launch a radio advertising campaign expected to reach 3 million listeners.
ePier, which competes with eBay in the online auction space, offers sellers free listings and low final value fees. Sellers can open a Storefront for as low as $7.95/month. ePier also has an online payment service and a special section for selling automobiles called ePier Motor City.
"ePier is a better and more efficient way to sell your goods and buy in a friendly atmosphere," said James Kim, President of ePier. "We have a great community that cannot be ignored with over 125,000 unique visitors every month." Located in Spokane, Washington, ePier is privately owned and has been operating since 1998.
