Bid4Assets Conducts Michigan's First Ever Online Auction of Tax-Foreclosed Property

Washtenaw County conducted Michigan's first ever tax-foreclosed online property auction on the Bid4Assets auction site. Bid4Assets focuses on high-end assets for private industry and government, including the U.S. Marshals Service.
The Michigan auction, held July 16 -18, resulted in the sale of eleven properties and raised over $667,900 for the County. Bid4Assets' Web site attracted more than 420 potential bidders from states as far away as North Carolina and California. Each property fetched an average of 110 bids and exceeded minimum bids by more than 200%. The auction results may be accessed through a dedicated Web site located at http://www.bid4assets.com .
Bidders who are interested in participating in the next Washtenaw County tax-foreclosed property auction can find information on the Bid4Assets Web site. The county's next online auction is scheduled for September 17, 2002.
