eBay announced it will introduce a new tool for auction sellers in the fall. eBay Selling Manager is an online sales management tool that is to be used in conjunction with its recently released Turbo Lister bulk listing tool.
Selling Manager uses fully customizable email templates, prints professional labels and invoices, relists items in bulk, and has other features as well. The service is offered with a free 30-Day trial, after which there is a monthly subscription fee of $4.99. eBay Selling Manager will eventually replace Seller's Assistant Basic, which will continue to be available and fully supported until at least the Spring of 2003.
eBay also announced that listing scheduling is now available on Sell Your Item 2.0. Listing scheduling allows sellers to schedule items on eBay up to three weeks in advance. A 10-cent fee will apply for this feature, in addition to normal eBay fees.
In related news, eBay warned members that it has disabled the use of the JavaScript known as "eval," which could effect listings that use old PayPal logos or certain third-party listing tools. "If you are using an older PayPal logo, you should upgrade to the latest version available on the PayPal site. Please contact your listing tool software provider if you have any questions or concerns about whether these changes will impact your software."
