eBay launched another "hub" portal page Monday, this time in the electronics category. eBay portal pages focus on a particular area and are useful starting pages for interested buyers and collectors. eBay has portal pages in various categories, including sports, introduced last month, aviation introduced last summer, and vintage toys, introduced last fall.
The new portal will link to eBay auctions of consumer electronics, computers, peripherals, networking, telecom, software, photography, video games. The portal had been in Beta mode before yesterday's official launch. eBay also introduced Free Shipping in the electronics category, a first-time promotion from eBay. Buyers can search for electronics items shipped free. Sellers who choose to offer free shipping on their auction items will find their items show up in the search results.
