A glitch prevented users from accessing eBay's UK site for part of the day on Tuesday. The company said the DNS name www.ebay.co.uk was not resolving in many cases from 10:30 GMT to 12:40 GMT. The problem caused bad data to propagate across various ISPs, causing some users to experience intermittent errors even after the issue was resolved.
In unrelated news, eBay UK said it has integrated PayPal features into eBay.co.uk, completing the first phase of the integration. PayPal is now included as a payment option on the Sell Your Item (SYI) auction listing form. Buyers may now search specifically for items where the seller accepts PayPal as a payment option.
