eBay Canada is helping to promote the spirit of giving by using the eBay.ca site to support Canadian charities in a program called "Charity for the Holidays." Throughout the month of December, charity auctions on the eBay.ca site will benefit from eBay.ca's reach to almost 55 million registered users around the world.
Charity for the Holidays runs from December 2-24. The program culminates the week of December 17, during which time participating charity auctions will receive extensive home page support, on-site promotion and mentions in user email newsletters.
Participating charities in Charity for the Holidays include Alanis Morissette and Equality Now; Kimberley Seldon and Gilda's Club Greater Toronto; Bereaved Families of Ontario; Casey House Foundation; Henry's and the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital; Random House Canada and Frontier College; MIX 99.9 and Starlight Foundation; Shoot for a Cure Spinal Cure Research; McMaster Children's Hospital; The Easter Seal Society (Ontario); Parkinson Society Canada; Terry Fox Foundation; General Electric and The Hospital for Sick Children; Doctors Without Borders; United Way of Leeds and Grenville; Burns Bog Conservation Society; The Zajac Foundation; Trout Unlimited; A Child's Voice Foundation; and Na'amat Canada.
