eBay will exhibit at next month's Consumer Electronic Show (CES 2003) in Las Vegas. In addition to a booth, the company will offer free eBay University classes and will promote a charity fund-raising auction.
eBay will exhibit at booth # 50093 at the Last Vegas Hilton. The online auction company will hold 17 eBay University classes during the show. Taught by eBay experts, the free seminars will include general training about how to buy and sell on eBay. Sessions will cover tips and tricks for buyers of all levels, selling for individuals, and selling for manufacturers, retailers and small businesses.
eBay will also help CES host the Innovations Awards Charity Auction. Attendees will be able to bid on award-winning Innovations 2003 products, before some of them hit the market. Proceeds from the charity auction will benefit the NCADV, the action network for raising awareness about domestic violence. The NCADV seeks to educate the general public about domestic violence and its root causes and offers support to survivors. eBay and CES chose ChannelAdvisor Corporation to be the auction services provider for the charity auction.
CES is North America's largest technology tradeshow. The 2003 International CES will showcase the latest innovations from 2,000 international exhibitors in wireless communications, gaming, digital video, high-end or "extreme" audio, accessories, CE fashion, consumer technology networking, broadband, mobile electronics, content media, new business technology, delivery systems and the Internet.
eBay also exhibited and held eBay University classes at the COMDEX computer trade show in Las Vegas in November. It also held a 2-day "Seller Summit" for top electronics sellers at the COMDEX show.
