AuctionBytes has enhanced its Buyers Market classified ads, a service where users can advertise their online auctions, storefronts and Web sites. Among the new features is a "Buy Now" button that allows customers to purchase items directly from a Buyers Market listing via PayPal.
In addition, Google has added AuctionBytes' Buyers Market "Buy Now" listings to its Froogle shopping search engine. Froogle helps searchers locate stores that sell the items they want, pointing directly to the place where they can purchase the item.
AuctionBytes is providing a direct data feed to Froogle so that Buyers Market ads can be seen by thousands of potential customers. Buyers Market ads are also included in the AuctionBytes newsletters on a rotational basis, and in the Buyers Market section of the AuctionBytes Web site.
"We wanted to wait to announce this until items actually started showing up on Froogle," said David Steiner, President of AuctionBytes. "Froogle has the potential to level the playing field for sellers with their own stores and web sites, and we're excited to be a part of that."
Many sellers point to their "About Me" pages on eBay in addition to their own Web sites, while others use the Buyers Market to sell individual items. An example of a "Buyers Market" Froogle listing can be viewed at http://tinyurl.com/5h3p
AuctionBytes is an information resource for online buyers and sellers and publisher of two free newsletters covering the online auction industry.
Users can register for a two-week free trial to AuctionBytes Buyers Market with no obligation to purchase an ad. One year ads cost $25 and may be changed any time, as often as the advertiser chooses.
