eBay announced that it is continuing with its plans to integrate Half.com and eBay. The integration process began two years ago by combining the customer service functions of both sites into one, and with the integration of registration, User IDs and feedback. (You can now use the same User ID on both Half.com and eBay.)
eBay spokesperson Kevin Pursglove said members should expect very minor changes this year, but by the third quarter of 2004, Half.com should be fully integrated into the eBay platform. At that point, the Half.com brand and site will go away, and the Half.com functionality will be available within the eBay site.
Pursglove said eBay had not yet determined whether Half.com fees would be completely eliminated, and they would gather feedback from the community regarding pricing issues.
eBay bought Half.com in 2000.
