Thousands of antique lovers are expected to flock to the new Atlantic City Convention Center (Atlantic City, New Jersey), March 22 & 23 for the "Atlantique City" antiques show. Sponsored by Antique Trader magazine and in its 14th year, the show will feature more than 1,000 dealers from around the world, free appraisals and celebrity guests.

From pottery to porcelain, vintage posters to Venetian glass, animation art to Americana, folk art to formal furniture, shoppers are invited to browse the 10+ acres of wares, or use Atlantique City’s exclusive Computographic Locator System to target particular interests. Shoppers can select from more than 1,200 categories of antiques, and receive a printout of the names and booth numbers of dealers featuring specific items.

One of the show’s highlight will be free appraisals by Ray Mansfield, syndicated newspaper columnist and host of NBC's "Let's Talk Antiques," Kyle Husfloen, Editor of Antique Trader Books, and Ellen Schroy, Editor of Warman's Price Guide to Antiques, from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. The show will also feature a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Academy Awards, spotlighting original movie promotional items, costumes, posters, memorabilia and celebrity guests.

AuctionBytes and Tias.com will share a booth and will be giving away collector resource cards. Gary Sohmers of Wex Rex Collectibles will be speaking on Popular Culture on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in The Forum on the show floor.

Show hours are Saturday 10a.m.-7p.m. and Sunday 10a.m.-5p.m. Paid parking and free shuttle service are available from the boardwalk near the Boardwalk Hall Convention Center. Trump Marina Hotel and Casino invites show guests to park in their ramp for just $2 and ride the free show shuttle. Most of the other casinos also offer low-cost parking, and specially marked AC jitneys provide quick, low cost transportation to and from the show.
