Bidding for Beatle John Lennon's "Denmark" tapes went on the auction block on April 7 on Mastronet. The Lennon tapes are in the Americana part of the auction, which closes on April 23.

The candid recordings made in 1969 provide insight into Lennon’s life during the last days of The Beatles. Originally there was a total of six tapes, most of which have previously been sold for as much as six figures. The two tapes being auctioned by MastroNet represent the last known components of the “Denmark” find.

For more information on the Lennon “Denmark” tapes or to pre-register and receive an auction catalog, call 630-472-1200 or visit www.mastronet.com. The MastroNet auction is also offering a huge collection of sports memorabilia, rare comic books, political collectibles and other entertainment memorabilia including the purchase agreement for Graceland.
