Ritchie Bros. Auction Nets $30 Million Canadian

A one-day Ritchie Bros. auction at the company's permanent auction site in Edmonton, Alberta generated gross auction sales of nearly $30 million Canadian. The auctioneer was selling late model logging and construction equipment that came from came from several complete dispersals and fleet realignments.
The April 24th unreserved industrial equipment auction attracted more than 3,500 registrants from nine countries, 24 U.S. states and nine Canadian provinces who actively competed for over 1,900 truck and equipment items. Approximately 300 of the bidders registered online to participate in the auction using the rbauctionBid-Live Internet bidding service and they purchased over $1.3 million Cdn worth of trucks and equipment.
The company says it is the world's leading auctioneer of industrial equipment, operating through over 90 locations around the world.
