One of the biggest issues facing retailers is how to create an effective online presence on a tight budget. AuctionBytes has launched a free newsletter that will help answer that question.
MyEZsale Ecommerce Guide is a twice-monthly newsletter that will tackle hot topics facing etailers, such as advertising and marketing an online business, search engine optimization, Web site design, usability and navigation, choosing a shopping cart system, shipping and fulfillment. The MyEZsale.com Web site will develop in-depth resources, including discussion boards and charts comparing products and services.
"Established retailers, liquidators and distributors, online-auction sellers, small businesses and anyone who wants to make money online will benefit from reading MyEZsale Ecommerce Guide," said Julia L. Wilkinson, Editor of the new publication. "We'll discuss the pros and cons of using storefront services like Yahoo! Stores, hosting your own ecommerce site, and when you should do both."
MyEZsale is a response to a trend observed by AuctionBytes, which has been publishing newsletters for online auction sellers since 1999. "eBay sellers are looking to strengthen their own brands and are using multi-channel selling strategies to increase sales and profitability," said Wilkinson. There is currently no resource that pulls everything together for small retailers in a practical, easy-to-digest, free email newsletter, she said. "MyEZsale will help etailers increase sales and save money."
Ms. Wilkinson has experience in online community development and Web content production. She worked for America Online (formerly Quantum Computer Services) from 1988 - 1997 where she was responsible for all design and production for four major AOL channels in conjunction with major media partners, including the New York Times, Scientific American, Business Week, and Wired. She was Director of Community for womenCONNECT.com from 1997-1999. Julia Wilkinson has written two books, My Life at AOL and Best Bang for Your Book and several ebooks, including What Sells on eBay for What. Her articles have appeared in the Washington Post, Virginia, Multimedia Online, Boardwatch, COMPUTE!, CONNECT and ComputorEdge. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband, daughter and son.
MyEZsale Ecommerce Guide will offer advice on all aspects of setting up and running a successful online retail business and is published twice a month via email. Sign up for a free subscription at:
