DoubleClick Inc., a leading provider of marketing tools for advertisers and web publishers, announced that eBay has entered into a global multi-year agreement to use DoubleClick's online advertising solutions. eBay will use DoubleClick's online advertising solutions to enhance the efficiency performance of its online advertising programs, and to provide the ad serving and management capability for its new Keywords on eBay service.

"Keywords on eBay" enables eBay sellers to reach targeted buyers on eBay through "bid-per-click" keyword advertising. Under the agreement, eBay will use DoubleClick's DART for Publishers solution, a hosted, enterprise-class advertising serving and management solution, which helps Web publishers manage, serve and report on online ads.

Details were not disclosed in Tuesday's announcement, but it appears the program will work like Google AdWords. The companies will officially unveil the service at the eBay Live! conference later this week.
