Reading AuctionBytes: eBay Powerseller Releases Free Guide: ''99 Tips for eBay Buyers & Sellers''

Vision-One Press of Anacortes, WA announced the publication of "99 Tips for eBay Buyers & Sellers" written by experienced eBay PowerSeller, Skip McGrath. Vision-One Press is exhibiting at the eBay Live Conference going on this week in Orlando. The free auction guide can be read and printed out at http://www.99auctiontips.com.

Skip McGrath has been selling on eBay since 1999 and became an eBay PowerSeller in early 2000. His 99 easy-to-read, valuable tips will save eBay buyers and sellers time and money by drawing from Skip's knowledge and experience.

In the guide, Skip reveals a little-known bidding strategy for buyers: most people on eBay bid in even numbers. If the bid increment is 50 cents, make your bid .52 or .53. This way you will just outbid someone by a few cents instead of a large increment. This information, revealed in "Tip #12," can be very helpful, especially when sniping.

Don't know what sniping is? See Tip #13.

In Tip # 8, Skip explains one of the most effective (and free) ways to market your online business: creating an eBay About Me page. eBay allows members to create a page to describe you and your business (if you are a seller). You can put a photo on the page, talk about your hobbies, your family – basically anything you like. The About Me page is where a person can get a sense of who you are and if they would like to do business with you. You can also link directly to your Web site!

In addition to learning from the tips, sellers can use the guide as a free marketing tool by including it with their items: eBay buyers and sellers may use 99 Tips as a free giveaway as long as none of the links or content are changed. Anyone may quote whole tips or sections from the manual as long as attribution and a link to the Web site (www.99auctiontips.com) are included. 99 Tips for eBay Buyers & Sellers is copyrighted June 2003 by Vision-One Press.

Skip McGrath is author of The eBay Power Seller’s Manual, Selling Antiques & Collectibles on eBay, The Wholesale Buying System, and Taking Your Retail Business onto eBay. Skip's site, Auction Seller’s Resource (www.auction-sellers-resource.com) provides extensive free content as well as resources and training materials for eBay sellers and those who want to learn to sell on eBay. Visitors can also sign up for a free monthly newsletter for professional eBay sellers, The Auction Seller’s News.

.99 Tips will also be available for FREE download in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format at the Auction Seller’s Resource Web site http://www.auction-sellers-resource.com after July 1st.
