Reading AuctionBytes: New Canoe University Expands Online Auction Course Offerings

Online training provider New Canoe University has added new offerings to its curriculum. Skip McGrath of the Auction Seller's Resource will teach a course on inventory sourcing. And New Canoe University has entered into a strategic relationship with Vendio Inc. to jointly develop online courses.

Skip McGrath, founder of The Auction Seller's Resource and prolific author and lecturer, will teach an online class, "How, What and Where to Buy Wholesale Products to Sell on eBay or Your Web Site." His book, "The Wholesale Buying System: How, What and Where to Buy Wholesale Products to Sell on eBay," serves as the basis for the seven lectures and textbook for the course. The lectures are 30 minutes each and cover how to qualify as a wholesale buyer; how to get a resale license; how to find dealers and distributors; how and where to buy wholesale antiques and collectibles to sell on eBay; how to buy at trade shows and merchandise marts; and how to become a direct importer. The lectures include reviews of and hundreds of links to tools, services, and product sources to firmly supply aspiring power sellers with the answers and resources needed to be successful on eBay.

New Canoe University also said it will work with online auction-management service provider Vendio Inc. to develop online courses and shorter "seller strategy updates" for eBay sellers. Classes will cover product sourcing, marketing and customer relationship management.

New Canoe University was founded in January 2003 and is based in Sausalito, California. NCU aims to be the leading online provider of training in practical skills that can be immediately applied by consumers to start small, or home-based businesses. NCU currently offers the course, "How to Become an eBay Auction Power Seller."
