Fujitsu Computer Products of America said sales of its refurbished low- to high-end scanners have increased seven-fold since the March 2003 opening of the first Fujitsu Scanner Outlet on eBay.

The Fujitsu Scanner Outlet was built by Accenture's Connection to eBay service to sell refurbished inventory. Connection to eBay offers auction management services including listing management, customer support, warehousing and logistic management. The company said more than 90 percent of the small- and medium-sized businesses buyers are first-time customers for Fujitsu.
