Data Becker introduced this week Online SuperSeller, an eBay-certified program offering consumers features for setting up and running eBay auctions. Online Superseller requires no monthly fee once it's been purchased (retail price is $29.95). The software will be distributed on the company's Web site and at national computer and office supply chains.
"With so many people interested in selling on eBay but not knowing where to start, we wanted to publish a software package that allows users to set up an auction in minutes," said Howard March, president and CEO of Data Becker.
Users work offline in a non-HTML environment to layout an auction. The company said users set up an eBay account, enter the product information, and choose a design from 47 professionally designed templates. Then the auction is ready to be uploaded to eBay.
Online SuperSeller includes an FTP client to allow the seller to store item photos items on a separate Web server. This allows users to present additional merchandise photos and eliminates additional picture hosting fees.
Online SuperSeller features include a contact database that tracks bidders, a profit analyzer to determine the success of auctions, and pre-formatted emails for contacting bidders immediately upon the closing of an auction.
