The September 2003 HistoryBuff Auction is now open for bidding. The auctions were first started offline in February 1984 when the Newspaper Collectors Society of America was formed.

The Civil War catalog includes scarce original issues of Confederate Veteran magazine, historic newspapers that include a Confederate issue, an 1861 issue of the Liberator an anti-slavery newspaper, Capture of Jefferson Davis and John Wilkes Booth issues, and more. Several scarce and rare books are also offered.

Other catalogs include Books (going back to 1831), Historic Newspapers (1679 to 1962), Children's Books (1914-1968), TV & Movie Magazines (1921-1975), Saturday Evening Post (1950's-1960's), Western Magazines (1929-1970's), Various Title Magazines (1914-1972), Miscellaneous Bulk Lots (1800's-1900's), and Miscellaneous Ephemera (1840-1900's) which includes a fantastic, full color, large Mardigras poster issued in 1907, several filled stamp collector albums, and more.
